The linebackers don’t stay healthy.

The linebackers last year in New Orleans went down like flies — one right after the other. It started with Josh Martin, Chase Hansen, and Colton Jumper who found themselves on the injured reserve the entire 2019 season.

Alex Anzalone followed hitting IR in week three for the remainder of the season. On top of that, Craig Robertson missed week 1; Kiko Alonso missed weeks 13-15; AJ Klein missed week 13. They even had to sign back Manti Te’o because of all the injuries.

That cannot happen again if the Saints want to make a run for the trophy. This season, there isn’t as much depth as there was last season. Also, with everyone back, re=injuries are a common possibility — either one needs to stay to a minimum.
