Reason No. 3 the Saints should trade for Njoku: His Price.

We have already discussed that Njoku underperformed in his first three years with the Browns. That mixed with the fact that the Browns don’t need him anymore after signing Austin Hooper should drive his price down.

After publically stating that he no longer wants anything to do with the Browns, the team should be willing to get rid of Njoku at a cheap price. The Saints might be able to get Njoku for less than they got a third-round pick this year.

A couple of draft picks should be enough to pry the tight end from the Cleveland Browns. I would even go as far as to offer Adam Trautman, the tight end the Saints drafted in the third round in the 2020 NFL draft.

David Njoku wants out of Cleveland — that is evident. Now, it is a mad rush between 31 NFL teams to see who can get to him first. New Orleans could use the potential and talent of Njoku for the price. They need to push a trade for him now.
