Improved offseason

The New Orleans Saints, and just about every other NFC South team, improved this offseason. Their biggest move was arguably adding former 49ers’ No. 1 receiver, Emmanuel Sanders, giving Michael Thomas some help on the edge. However, they did much more than just that.

The Saints draft was fantastic and set the team up well for the future. Behind offensive lineman Cesar Ruiz and linebacker Zack Baun, the team brought in pieces that’ll help them succeed for the long-term future.

Both players should also have a significant impact on the team’s current roster as well. Ruiz is projected to slide in as a starting guard or center while Baun will likely either start or be the first linebacker off the bench.

Those were the three big-name additions.

Other than that, the team brought in Malcolm Jenkins and then re-signed players like Drew Brees and Taysom Hill. Overall, the Saints improved both offensively and defensively, and they’ll showcase those improvements in 2020.
