3 reasons New Orleans Saints are primed for fourth straight NFC South title
The New Orleans Saints are in position for a fourth straight NFC South title run, and here are three reasons why it’s bound to happen.
There’s no denying the Saints are the favorite to win the NFC South heading into 2020.
For a team that hasn’t been great historically, the Saints have been the best team in the division over the last decade and certainly the best over the past three seasons. The Saints actually have the best record in the NFL over the past three years, winning the division in all three.
While those three haven’t also come with a Super Bowl berth, the Saints are hoping 2020 is different. If they do manage to win the division this season, they’ll be the sole owner of the division longest title streak since its beginning in 2002.
The Panthers are tied with the Saints right now having won the division three straight times from 2013-2015 when Cam Newton was the head of the franchise. The Bucs and Falcons haven’t even managed to win it twice.
To be fair, other than the Panthers and Saints streaks of three, no team has repeated as championships, something that should be praised given how some division has been led by a team for seemingly decades.
That said, let’s dive into three reasons why the Saints will make this season their fourth straight NFC South title.
