Number Three: Patrick Robinson

Patrick Robinson is a 32-year-old cornerback who was actually a former first-round pick by the New Orleans Saints. Robinson, standing at just 5-foot-11, struggles to keep up with the younger, faster wide receivers and will have a hard time keeping his job past August.

Robinson has always been a solid cornerback for depth in his career, but he’s now more of a liability than an asset to the Saints.

Robinson only logged sixteen tackles last season in New Orleans and has recently spent more time on the training table than on the football field. The Saints need to focus on getting younger at the position, not hang on to old talent.

The Saints also have some bright young talent coming to the team in Tino Ellis, Keith Washington, and Deatrick Nichols and hope they can be the improved depth the team has been searching for.

Robinson may still be good for some depth, but it’ll certainly uphill battle for the veteran.
