The linebacker position has, at least for the last couple of years, been a major downfall for the New Orleans Saints’ defensive unit.

The New Orleans Saints have dealt with linebacker issues in the past. The most recent issue was last year when the team had to add free-agent linebacker Manti T’eo because most of the linebackers on the team were injured.

Not only did they have some problems last year, but their starting linebacker A.J. Klein left in free agency this offseason. They did get Alex Anzalone back from injury, but his past suggests that he might get injured again.

They drafted rookie Zack Baun to backup the linebacker spot. Even with Baun though, the linebacker position is still a fragile one. The Saints can never go wrong with the more linebackers they have one their team.

With that being said, there are several linebackers that teams would be willing to trade or that there have been rumors of players that might be on the trading block. Here are three players the Saints should trade for before the season starts.
