Alvin Kamara

There’s no denying 2019 was a down season for Kamara.

It’s ironic to call it a down season because Kamara still received an invitation to play in the Pro Bowl. However, it was the first season of his career in which he didn’t eclipse 1,500 all-purpose yards, barely making it over 1,300.

Missing two games, it was clear Kamara was far from 100% for the bulk of the season. Now in a contract year, Kamara will be looking for an extension but must again show his value due to his lacking 2019 campaign.

Another important factor for Kamara’s success will be his touchdowns. Kamara found the endzone just six times in 2019, a third of his 2018 total. He needs to be a bigger part of why this team puts points on the board.

Many are predicting a dynamic comeback for the finally-healthy Kamara, but there’s no denying some of his lower-body injuries could linger, and it could deplete his value. Hitting sky-high expectations in 2020 could make Kamara millions in a new contract.
