Clowney would make them Super Bowl favorites

The New Orleans Saints are in win-now mode. They have future first-ball Hall of Famer Drew Brees in his what could be his last season.

At 41, Brees’ time in the league is going to be up in the next few seasons. With their current roster, they have what it takes to get to the Super Bowl, but with Clowney, this team would have to excuse not to be raising the Lombardi Trophy in 2021.

If Clowney signs, the team should be loaded at every position except cornerback.

With Patrick Robinson and PJ Williams behind Marshon Lattimore and Janoris Jenkins, the depth there may still be a concern. However, Clowney would add help both on the edge and at outside linebacker. For the Saints, there’s no much more you could ask for.

Their offense is stacked, and Clowney would make their defense one of the best in the NFC as well. He’d be a home-run signing for a team already expected to be among the best in the conference.
