Janoris Jenkins

Janoris Jenkins joined the team last season after a fallout with the New York Giants. The Giants released Jenkins after a social media blunder, but it was just in time for the New Orleans Saints to use their waiver priority for him.

Eli Apple, the Saints No. 2 cornerback, went down with a season-ending injury two games before the end of the season, although the injury wouldn’t typically end a season. This allowed Jenkins to immediately come in and start the last two games of the season.

He also played in the only NFL postseason game the Saints had last season against the Vikings. While those games proved to be beneficial to not only the Saints but also to Jenkins and his knowledge of the team.

Jenkins will use this preseason to continue to learn the team and the defense. The Saints re-signed Jenkins so they obviously see a starter in him, and that is why the preseason will be beneficial for the cornerback.
