Number Three: Everson Griffen

For whatever reason, the New Orleans Saints and Minnesota Vikings have far more ties to each other than everyone seems to realize. Everson Griffen is a star defensive end who has spent his entire career with the Vikings until this point.

Griffen would come in and instantly be welcomed as he has two former teammates already on the Saints roster, and a lot of meaningful games played against the rest of the roster.

Griffen shared a roster with Saints running back Latavius Murray and Saints offensive lineman Nick Easton during the infamous Minneapolis Miracle play a few years back.

New Orleans has played Minnesota four times since 2017, winning just one of those matchups. Nabbing one of the Vikings’ best players throughout that stretch would be a great move for the Saints.

At least a few of the Saints would likely vouch for their former teammates; however, the cost of their addition will be a huge question mark as the Saints will be on the budget the rest of the offseason.
