Number Two: Clay Matthews

Clay Matthews is part of a long line of NFL talent and, believe it or not, has more ties to the Big Easy than you may know. Matthews spent the longest tenure of his career in Green Bay with the Packers before going to the Rams in 2019.

Due to Matthews’ long tenure in Green Bay, he was able to share a roster with three players who are currently playing major roles in the New Orleans Saints system.

Matthews spent time with the Saints’ starting tight end Jared Cook for a season in which he also shared a spot with newly acquired utility player Ty Montgomery.

Matthews has also spent time with the ultimate swiss army knife in Taysom Hill for a little while before he was claimed by the Saints.

Clay Matthews would fit like a glove in New Orleans if he decided to be the first player in his family’s history to wear the black and gold.
