Emmanuel Sanders

This one might come as a shock to you.

It’s okay, just hear me out before you click the “x”. We praised the Saints for signing Sanders in free agency this offseason. He was one of the most highly sought after receivers on the market.

After a terrible last season at the position, any player would be an upgrade. Here is why Sanders is going to have a mediocre year — because he did it last year. Sanders went off against the Saints for seven receptions for 157 yards and a touchdown.

However, those numbers account for the most receptions he had in a game for the Niners; one of three touchdowns he scored for SF and one of five on the year; it was almost a quarter of his yards on the year.

Without that one game, Sanders would have below 60 receptions, almost under 700 yards, and four touchdowns in 2019. Those numbers are mediocre but don’t expect Sanders to come in and be a superstar for the Saints.

Next. 3 dream targets the Saints should trade for. dark

While they may be overhyped in my eyes, expect big production from each of the three as all should be starting.
