An X-factor is a player who may not steal the show but will impact a game for the better. The Saints will have many of them this season.

The New Orleans Saints have been fortunate enough to locate these X-factors and have turned them into some of the NFL’s best playmakers.

Taysom Hill is a prime example of an X-factor for the New Orleans Saints. Hill was brought in as a backup quarterback but made his living so far catching passes, blocking punts, and tackling opponents.

X-factors are players you can put in multiple roles and will still excel and help the team win games.  The Saints should have many this season as they’ll have several openings for new players to contribute and other players to contribute in additional roles.

One of the best teams in the NFC, the Saints will have competition in their division this season, but if the right players step up, the Tom Brady-led Bucs should have no shot against the Drew Brees-led Saints.

A ton of the Saints’ success will be on the back of these X-factors. That said, here’s a look at three X-factors on the Saints roster in 2020.
