Number Three: Fullback

Tommy Stevens could come in right away and compete for a starting fullback role on the New Orleans Saints. The Saints currently have a two-man battle between Mike Burton and Ricky Ortiz but the uber-athletic Stevens could sneak into the mix.

Stevens has the size and athletic ability to be a useful fullback for the Saints, a team that uses the fullback position pretty much more than anyone else. Stevens has been reported as a solid blocker, he can catch the ball, and he can also run the ball.

Stevens ran the rock 159 times in college logging a 5.6 average, 887 rushing yards, and 12 touchdowns. Standing at 6-foot-5, 235 pounds, Stevens could translate nicely to a position of need for the Saints.

Tommy Stevens is too athletic to keep off the roster, but too inexperienced so far to be a lock to stay on it. It will be interesting to see how Stevens will look in the Black and Gold this summer and if he will show enough promise to make the final 53 man roster this fall.
