Key No 1: Keeping injuries to a minimum

To say that injuries plagued the New Orleans Saints last year would be an understatement. It felt like every starting position on the team missed at least one game if not a handful of them. It is hard to win when that happens.

There are several key players that need to stay healthy this year. Drew Brees is among the top of them. Last year, he missed five games with a torn thumb. The offensive line as a whole is probably the second-highest on the list.

Last season, Terron Armstead and Andrus Peat were two big names who missed some time on the offensive line last season. The line will be one of the biggest needs the Saints have to stay healthy this season.

It is not realistic to think that every starter will start all 16 of the season. However, there can not be huge prolonged absences. A game here and there will not be a detriment to the team, but a couple of prolonged absences might.
