G, Larry Warford

New Team: Free Agent

Warford is the odd one out of the group. Warford wasn’t let walk in free agency nor was he traded in the NFL Draft; no, he was just flat out released to save cap space after the Saints drafted a guard, Cesar Ruiz, with their first-round pick.

It was a smart move by New Orleans, but that doesn’t mean losing Warford doesn’t sting.

However, Warford isn’t just the average guy you cut. Last season, in 2019, he was a Pro Bowl selection — albeit it was for a replacement spot; he still made it. Not a ton of players coming off of a Pro Bowl-caliber season end up being cut.

On top of that, he only missed one game last season.

In fact, he has only missed four games in three years with the organization. You don’t just find that kind of offensive lineman durability anywhere; let’s hope Ruiz is up for the challenge or the Saints will really miss Warford.

The New Orleans Saints will have a good team this season. In fact, there is a good chance that they will be heavy Super Bowl favorites in the NFC. However, they will still miss the services of these players in 2020.
