Time to bite the bullet: there is a very real chance that after the upcoming season, Alvin Kamara will not be with the New Orleans Saints.

Alvin stole the hearts of Saints’ fans when he burst onto the scene in 2017.

The mysterious third-rounder quickly made skeptics pay attention with his Cadillac smooth way of carving up defenses on his way to an offensive ROY campaign. His elusive was on show for everyone throughout his first two seasons.

Despite all his success, Kamara and New Orleans are coming to an expected head. AK’s contract is set to expire at the conclusion of the upcoming season, meaning, barring an extension, Sean Payton’s diamond in the rough could be on his way out of town.

While his time in the Big Easy has resulted in three NFC South titles, there’s no denying the Saints will likely not pay him what he views his value is. 2019 was an unexpected down year for Kamara, starting in only nine games and scoring only five rushing touchdowns and one receiving.

Given his demeanor and the fact that he’s yet to mention anything about a holdout, one would never be certain how Kamara truly feels about his current living and work arrangements in New Orleans.

Nonetheless, the Saints would be wise to at least investigate a few options should Kamara prove to be too pricey to keep.
