Number One: Joe Bachie Jr

Joe Bachie Jr. went undrafted in the 2020 NFL Draft, despite being on many boards as a mid to late third-round pick. Bachie, one of the best pure linebackers in college football over the past few seasons, was signed by the Saints almost instantly after the conclusion of the draft.

In four seasons at Michigan State, Bachie accumulated 285 tackles, 133 solo tackles, 28 tackles for a loss, seven sacks, four forced fumbles, eleven passes defended, and five interceptions.

Bachie was not only ferocious in the tackling department, but he was also a fierce pass defender who has the ability to make a play on the football when needed. The 6-foot-2, 230-pound linebacker has the ability to step right into the mix given his frame.

Considering the New Orleans Saints won’t have much in the linebacker department following the 2020 season, the addition of Joe Bachie Jr. could prove to be an excellent signing and I’m certain he will make the final 53-man roster.

His development will be interesting as players like Kiko Alonso are still on the roster as well.
