3 reasons Saints’ Drew Brees can win his first MVP in 2020

From his arrival in 2006 to the latest media gaffe, Drew Brees has done nothing short of dominating the stats page for quarterbacks in the NFL.

New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees is in what most are calling his final season in the NFL. Thus, he will need to put it all on the line before it’s all said and done. The 2020 NFL season has many questions to be answered come September, but Saints fans may have their own.

Can Drew Brees win an NFL MVP at age 41?

It’s hard to believe the 13-time All-Star and former Super Bowl MVP has never taken the crown, but that may all change in 2020.

After creating an explosion of controversy regarding the National Anthem protests, Brees faced a severe backlash by teammates current and former. However, Brees turned a corner when he publicly apologized and even addressed President Donald Trump that he  ‘missed the mark” on this one.

Brees has since seen those around him rally those sentiments and have backed him up in a positive way. What could have been a potential break up for the team, has become a new rejuvenation that the team has desperately needed.

There are many reasons why Brees has not been selected as an NFL MVP, but I think this year will be very different. These are the three reasons I believe he can accomplish the feat this year:
