Rumor No. 2: Drew Brees’ comments will hurt the chemistry of the Saints.

If you have been in the news at all, Drew Brees’ made some “tone-deaf” comments last week about how regardless of what is going on in America, it is still disrespectful to kneel during the National Anthem.

He said that it disrespects the people who fought hard and even paid the ultimate price for our freedom. He then received a huge level of backlash from not only other players but his own teammates and brothers.

Since then, he issued an apology for his comments about them not being appropriate for the time period we are at.

His teammates quickly accepted his apology and moved along with fighting for what they believe in. Brees even went as far as to call out the President when he insinuated that Brees shouldn’t have apologized.

Truth: Drew Brees made some comments that shouldn’t have been made at the given time. However, he apologized and all of his teammates went back to having his back. Demario Davis even issued a statement backing Brees’ after it. The chemistry is better than ever.
