Darius Slay (CB), Philadelphia Eagles

Overall for the Saints, the cornerback position has been weak, and it even is to this date. Take Marshon Lattimore out of the equation and the Saints have rotated through No. 2 cornerbacks yearly.

Eli Apple, Ken Crowley, PJ Williams, Brandon Browner, Keenan Lewis, Delvin Breaux — those, and a few others, are all cornerbacks who have started for the New Orleans Saints since 2017. The position is in need of some structure.

The franchise caught luck with Marshon Lattimore as a stable cornerback, but they need another one too.

Darius Slay is already in Philadelphia, and while he will be playing his first few games there this season, once the Eagles start to suffer, Slay may want out. He may want to play on a team that will actually contender, a team like New Orleans.

However, like with all these “dream” targets, the price may be too high to even consider.

Slay would be the perfect fit alongside Lattimore. He is even at the point in his career where he is ready to sign a long term contract. If the Saints could get Slay next to Lattimore for an extended period of time, they could be dangerous.
