Chauncey Gardner-Johnson

Chauncey Gardner-Johnson has been one of the most underappreciated safeties on the Saints’ team. He has, for the most part, always played behind Vonn Bell and Marcus Williams, and now Malcolm Jenkins.

However, CGJ’s skill and precision in locking down in the slot corner is one of his best attributes. The Saints really need to think about how to use the talents of Gardner-Johnson moving forward into this year.

Whether he stays in the slot corner and acts as a backup safety or whether they fully transition him into a cornerback, either way, CGJ is one of the defenders with the highest upside in the secondary. He will need to play like that next season.

Next. 5 players the Saints cannot lose to injury. dark

The New Orleans Saints have a real opportunity to seize this year by storm. They really do have one of the best rosters the franchise has ever seen. A Super Bowl trophy will be a lock if these five players step their potential up.
