Emmanuel Sanders in a New Orleans Saints uniform.

To say Emmanuel Sanders torched the Saints last year would be an understatement. He caught seven receptions for over 150 yards and a touchdown in an offensive showcase between two conference rivals.

The Saints were also in desperate need of a receiver. Last season, Michael Thomas caught so many receptions he beat out Marvin Harrison’s season record for most in a year. He needed help opposite him, and Brees needed another target.

This year, Emmanuel Sanders will not only not be playing the team, but he will be playing on the team. I am beyond excited to get to training camp and preseason and see the impact that Sanders will have on the field with Thomas.

In what might be Brees’ final year, the opportunity to get him another high-profile target like Sanders will be exhilarating. The Saints should thrive on offense and seeing Sanders in the black and gold will be a huge highlight to June.

If jerseys are released or the Saints take the field at all, we’ll get a glimpse of Sanders in the Black and Gold.
