Offensive Line

Many players and fans alike would look at this selection and think how could one of the best offensive lines in the entire NFL possibly be one of the weakest positions on the New Orleans Saints roster?

I understand the confusion, but here is why. When the Saints blew every person’s projections out of the water and selected the University of Michigan C/G Cesar Ruiz, they added extreme depth to the offensive line for next year.

However, then the team decided to cut Larry Warford, putting Ruiz in the starting lineup and leaving no one besides Easton a backup on the line with any Saints experience. They did sign ex-Raven lineman Hurst.

Even with what looks like a good signing to add depth to the line, Hurst still has no experience playing with the Saints. Therefore, it is anyone’s guess how well he could do. Let’s just hope that no offensive lineman gets injured for a prolonged time.
