The New Orleans Saints freed up over $8 million in cap space with the release of guard Larry Warford, and they could look to sign yet another superstar player.

The Saints are in the market to sign another defensive star after bolstering the offense heavily this offseason.

The team added the likes of Emmanuel Sanders and then continued to enhance their offense by using their first-round pick on Cesar Ruiz.  That side of the ball should be one of the best in the entire NFL. However, their defense, more so just the depth on the units, could use some help.

We’ve seen the team’s secondary and both offensive and defensive lines struggle with injuries at points throughout the last few seasons. As most teams do, the Saints have been hit with the injury bug, one reason to ensure they get quality depth at the sport’s most important positions.

The three-time Pro Bowl defensive end would bring quite a bit to the Saints top-tier organization, but I narrowed it down to three main reasons as to why the Saints should bring in Jadeveon Clowney.
