Three reasons the Saints should target free agent Jadeveon Clowney

The Saints are in the market to sign another defensive star after bolstering the offense heavily this offseason.
The team added the likes of Emmanuel Sanders and then continued to enhance their offense by using their first-round pick on Cesar Ruiz. That side of the ball should be one of the best in the entire NFL. However, their defense, more so just the depth on the units, could use some help.
We’ve seen the team’s secondary and both offensive and defensive lines struggle with injuries at points throughout the last few seasons. As most teams do, the Saints have been hit with the injury bug, one reason to ensure they get quality depth at the sport’s most important positions.
That said, former Houston Texans and Seattle Seahawks defensive end Jadeveon Clowney is still available to sign. Here’s the report that shows the potential mutual interest. While that’s been the only report, the concept of Clowney is the Big Easy makes too much sense to not be discussed.
