The injury bug has plagued the New Orleans Saints in the past couple of years, but if it happens to any of these players in 2020, the season could be over.

Last year, the New Orleans Saints were on pace to have one of the best seasons the franchise has ever had in its entire history. They ended up tying the record of the last regular season when the team won the Super Bowl in 2009.

However, the injury bug plagued the team last year. Marcus Davenport, Drew Brees, Alvin Kamara, Eli Apple, Andrus Peat, Terron Armstead — those are just a few of the starting names that dealt with injuries last season.

It wasn’t just last season though, even most of the last memorable seasons dealt with injuries. Most of the time though, they don’t end up being a big reason for the team’s early departure from the NFL Playoffs.

This upcoming season is a big one — potentially Brees’ last season. The Saints went all out and got him all the weapons he needed, strengthened the defense, and made the team as near perfect as it could be.

Here are the five players that the Saints can not afford to have fallen to injury for a prolonged period this season if they hope to make it to another Super Bowl.
