1. Saints signing ex-49er Emmanuel Sanders

The best offseason move for the New Orleans Saints this year was adding depth and talent to their wide receiving core. At the beginning of the offseason, this was the most pertinent need for the team to better.

Last year, Michael Thomas broke historic records for receptions because Drew Brees had no one else to throw the ball too. Who better to add than the receiver who went for seven receptions and over 150 yards on your defense last year.

Emmanuel Sanders will step into the No. 2 wide receiver spot and be the downfield option for Brees that he was for the 49ers last season. Hopefully, this will open up Thomas’s slant pattern more often and make defenses play more balanced.

As stated before, the New Orleans Saints had one of the best offseasons in football this year. They are again early top five favorites to win the Super Bowl. Let’s hope that the season ends with another Lombardi trophy to Louisiana.
