Number Two: The Saints would have the best secondary in the league

Imagine a 2020 secondary that consists of Marshon Lattimore, Janoris Jenkins, Marcus Williams, Malcolm Jenkins, CJ Gardner-Johnson, and Jamal Adams. That secondary would be scary for any opposing quarterback or wide receiver.

Janoris Jenkins and Malcolm Jenkins are getting a bit old and may not have the same juice in 2020, but by adding Jamal Adams it gives the Saints the possibility of sliding CJ Gardner-Johnson over to cornerback and Malcolm Jenkins over to the nickel role creating an absolutely dominant secondary.

CGJ is a dual-threat DB so adding Adams wouldn’t necessarily crowd an already loaded safety position.

It would be nearly impossible to move the ball against the Saints as they already have one of the NFL’s best defensive lines and one of the NFL’s top linebacker in Demario Davis manning the middle.

Adding Adams to the mix would nearly guarantee a trip to the Super Bowl for the Saints in 2020 and would solve arguably their biggest concern heading into the new campaign. He would add depth to the unit and allow CGJ more time as a cornerback.
