3 reasons the New Orleans Saints should consider targeting Jamal Adams

Could the New Orleans Saints trade for Jets’ superstar safety Jamal Adams?

NFL.com reported on Monday that New York Jets safety Jamal Adams is unlikely to be extended with the Jets and could be traded in the “near future.”  Could the Saints be a destination of choice for the elite defensive back?

The New Orleans Saints are in win-now mode, more so this season than ever before. Drew Brees is likely on his last ride and there are plenty of uncertainties surrounding the future of the franchise.

One thing the Saints could do to help the future look more promising is to acquire a top tier talent in Jets safety Jamal Adams. While the cap may be a tight fit and not being extended is an issue, Mickey Loomis could certainly figure out a way to bring Adams in.

Now that a top contender in the Dallas Cowboys are reportedly not interested in Adams’ services, let’s bring him back to what was his home during his college days at LSU. Adams would feel at home in the Big Easy.
