Number Three: Margus Hunt

Margus Hunt is a 6-foot-8 defensive end who formerly played for the Bengals and Colts. Hunt is 32 years old but can bring with him a veteran presence to help compete with the young Marcus Davenport opposite of Cameron Jordan.

Hunt can also play defensive tackle as well as defensive end. The former second-round pick in 2013 has had a great career so far and has been known as a physical run-stuffing defensive lineman.

Hunt has logged 105 tackles, 23 tackles for a loss, 20 quarterback hits, seven and a half sacks, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, and seven passes defended.

The Saints need some defensive line depth and adding a guy who can play anywhere on the line helps the team out tremendously.

Hunt’s numbers aren’t the greatest, but his impact is felt in more ways than what’s shown on the stat sheet. Hunt would oftentimes take on double team blocks to allow his teammates to make stops or blow up plays and create pressure to force incompletions or turnovers.
