Number One: His Production

Alvin Kamara has been extremely productive through his first three NFL seasons, so productive that some NFL legends can’t match the numbers Kamara has logged. Let’s compare the NFL’s all-time leading rusher Emmitt Smith’s stats to Alvin Kamara’s.

Smith in his first three seasons didn’t miss a single game and logged 979 rush attempts, 132 receptions, 5,034 total yards, and 43 total touchdowns.

If you look at Kamara’s numbers while keeping in mind he missed a few games over the span of his three seasons in the league, they are mind-blowing when considering the potential Kamara has.

Kamara has logged nearly half as many carries as Smith with 485 carries, logged nearly twice as many receptions with 243, accumulated 4,476 yards, and his 38 total touchdowns. Kamara’s yardage is also excluding his kick and punt return yardage as well.

Kamara has loads of potential and he’s only 24 years old. Kamara has proven to be an exception to the typical running back life span and he could really be the next great running back. The Saints need to lock up Kamara before it’s too late.
