Marshon Lattimore

Marshon Lattimore’s contract, different from Davis and Kamara, isn’t up until the end of the 2021 season, but he should still be thought of as a major part of the Saints’ future and needs to be extended before even close to 2021.

Lattimore is the anchor that holds the Saints’ secondary together. Largely regarded as one of the weakest parts of the Saints’ team in the last couple of years, Lattimore has been the exception and kept them above the ground.

Lattimore consistent ranks among the top ten cornerbacks in the league. He has been to the Pro-Bowl twice in his three-year career. He has also totaled 8 interceptions, 44 passes batted down, five forced fumbles and 4 recoveries, and 168 tackles.

As you can see, the players whose contracts are coming up to being extended are players that have meant a great deal to the organization. They deserve the right to be extended, and the team needs their talent.
