Alvin Kamara

Alvin Kamara has been one of the deadliest weapons for the Saints offense in the last handful of years. Whether it is rushing out of the backfield finding the open space and taking off, or whether he catches the ball from Brees out of the backfield.

Kamara has continually been a strong force for the franchise and deserves the right to have a contract offered to him. There are only a couple of issues when it comes to offering Kamara a future contract extension.

Firstly, Kamara is currently making next to nothing based on his talent level and production at the running back position. However, running backs are making market value far above what they should be which might back the Saints off of an extension.

Secondly, Kamara’s contract is going to be one of the most drastic the team has had since Michael Thomas. While he is not making much, his market value is around $11 million more than his current contract is valued at which could make him hard to re-sign.
