Number Three: Michael Thomas Will Drop Off

Based on the historic campaign Michael Thomas had in 2019, I think there’s a strong chance he will drop off a bit in the 2020 season.

Michael Thomas posted the best numbers the NFL has ever seen from the wide receiver in 2019 where he logged an NFL record 149 receptions for 1,725 receiving yards and nine touchdowns.

Thomas also went to his third consecutive Pro Bowl, earned his second selection to the AP All-Pro First Team, and brought home NFL Offensive Player of the Year hardware.

The Saints also brought in some talent to help ease some of the workload from Michael Thomas. The Saints brought in Emmanuel Sanders to pair alongside Thomas and they also return a healthy Alvin Kamara, Jared Cook, and Tre’Quan Smith.

A healthy Drew Brees dishing the ball around should help see increased productivity from all the Saints wide receivers, which could lead to a decline in Thomas’ stats.
