Most receiving yards and receptions by a player in first five seasons

Current record holder: Jarvis Landry, 481 receptions

Current record holder: Torry Holt, 6,784 receiving yards

Also this year, Michael Thomas is going to break a couple more long-held records. As Thomas approaches his fifth season in the NFL he has totaled so far 470 receptions for 5,512 receiving yards in 63 games (57 started).

Currently, Jarvis Landry holds the record for most receptions in the first five years of a career. He totaled 481 a couple of seasons ago with the Cleveland Browns. This is a remarkable achievement for spending the first part of his career with the Dolphins.

Also currently, Torry Holt holds a long time record for most receiving yards in the first five years of a career. He totaled 6,784 yards in his first years in the NFL. Now, Michael Thomas looks to break that record.

With Thomas’ current statistics, he would need 11 receptions this season which is doable in one game, let alone an entire season. He also needs 1,272 receiving yards to pass Holt, which is totally doable considering he had over that in each of the last three years.
