Number One: Zach Line

Zach Line was a fullback for the New Orleans Saints from 2017 until 2019.

He announced his retirement following the Saints’ playoff loss to his former team, the Minnesota Vikings. I would assume that injuries played a large part in Line’s decision to retire, but it would certainly be nice to have him back.

Zach Line was one of the most productive fullbacks the Saints have ever had, and he was only on the team for three years. It’s not all that surprising that Zach Line called it quits as he’s 30 years old and had spent seven years in the NFL.

Line put up great numbers in his NFL career logging 36 carries, 114 rushing yards, two rushing touchdowns, 20 receptions, 161 receiving yards, and four receiving touchdowns. Line was also a punishing blocker and played well on special teams as well.

The Saints currently have an offseason fullback battle between veteran Michael Burton and youngster Ricky Ortiz, but Line coming back would provide stability at the position for a very important season.
