Chicago Bears

The Chicago Bears are currently in a perpetual spinning of Mitchell Trubisky and Matt Nagy leading the team. That is an unfortunate situation that you should lean on the advice of Brad Evans to explain to you.

Matt Nagy doesn’t even have the slightest clue the amount of talent he has in running back David Montgomery. He has the full complement of skills to be an identical version of Alvin Kamara if given the right coaching and leadership.

If the Saints could somehow pry this younger, cheaper version of Alvin Kamara away from the Bears for the current, high-priced Kamara, then it would be the steal of the century for Sean Payton and his coaching staff.

The Bears would have the cap space to do it, but Kamara would stretch them thin. For the Saints, Montgomery sees less than $1 million per year until 2023 when he becomes an unrestricted free agent and has the right to leave.
