Ranking the three most underrated players on the Saints defense

Although the New Orleans Saints have 26 wins in the last two seasons, superstars still, at times, slide through the cracks on such a dominant team.

Every team has their own list of high-quality players that nobody ever seems to talk about. Those players, who really have a major impact on the organization as a whole, have been key to the Saints’ three straight NFC South titles.

Everyone knows the superstars like Drew Brees, Michael Thomas, and Alvin Kamara; but it’s the guys who fly under the radar that really stand out. On a defense that was above average, the team has more players than just Cam Jordan stand out.

The Saints have prided themselves on building their defense one piece at a time and it has paid off drastically. They’ve added several new, young defensive backs to their roster that look to be the crux of this defense for quite a while.

On top of that, their inbound rookie class will help create depth at positions that New Orleans has struggled to keep healthy in the past. That said, this defense has some highly underrated studs on their roster.

Here’s a look at three players on the Saints defense who are very underrated.
