Patrick Queen, Baltimore Ravens

Almost every New Orleans Saints fan thought that if LSU linebacker Patrick Queen was on the board with the No. 24 pick that the Saints would jump on that opportunity and really use the linebacker in this upcoming year.

Last year, the Saints had to dive deep into free agency to sign a linebacker mid-year because of injuries to the other linebackers. Hopefully, they don’t have to do the same next year because they neglected to get a linebacker in the first round.

They also lost a key linebacker in free agency this year in A.J. Klein and didn’t replace him. With the players who got injured last year likely to repeat the same thing with extensive play, it would have been ideal to get a linebacker.

Patrick Queen was ideally the best linebacker in the class. Queen was definitely the biggest surprise that the Saints should have drafted. Instead, he fell down to the Baltimore Ravens later in the first round.
