Number One: Patrick Robinson

Patrick Robinson is a 32-year-old cornerback who has played in the league since 2010. Robinson is going to have a hard time making the final roster of the New Orleans Saints this offseason.

The Saints have some great talent in Janoris Jenkins, Marshon Lattimore, Justin Hardee, and PJ Williams already guaranteed roster spots. The additions of Deatrick Nichols, Tino Ellis, and Keith Washington will make getting a roster spot even harder.

Robinson just doesn’t have the same juice anymore. Robinson is entering his third year of a four year, 20 million dollar contract he signed with the Saints back in 2018 but has yet to earn any of that money.

Over the past two seasons, Robinson has been limited to just 14 games where he logged 22 tackles and two passes defended.

The Saints could save money by keeping the young talent on the roster and letting Robinson go. A cornerback at Robinson’s age who can’t stay on the field rarely makes an NFL comeback, and it’s time to move on from the Saints’ former first-round pick.
