Jadeveon Clowney

Jadeveon Clowney is the second defensive end on this list. He could also be one of the highest-paid on his list. It would honestly be a stretch if the Saints could even get the former Seahawks veteran for under the $8 million they saved.

However, there is a possibility. He declined the Seattle Seahawks offer to go somewhere else. Like Griffen, Clowney would be deadly on the opposite side of Cameron Jordan. He would almost definitely make the Saints one of the best defenses in the league.

Last season, Clowney only started 11 games which could have led to his lower contract value. In those games, Clowney totaled only three sacks, but he did have 13 hits on the quarterback and seven tackles for a loss.

Next. 3 Saints that could be cut for salary savings. dark

When it comes down to what the New Orleans Saints are going to do with the $8 million saved from the release of Larry Warford, only the front office knows. However, they are going to need to use it to keep enhancing positions on their roster.
