With Larry Warford’s savings from his salary, the New Orleans Saints now have money to look at signing another big-name free agent.

Earlier this week, the New Orleans Saints released Pro Bowl guard Larry Warford. Behind Drew Brees, Warford was making more per year than any other player on the team which was incredibly remarkable for a potential Super Bowl team.

After they drafted a guard to replace Warford in Cesar Ruiz, it was only a matter of time before Warford found his way onto the free agency market. It also saved the Saints roughly $8 million for the upcoming year.

There is a plethora of things that they could do with that $8 million that they saved. First off, they are going to have to use it to sign their four drafted rookies — Cesar Ruiz, Zack Baun, Adam Trautman, and Tommy Stevens.

Next, instead of just letting that money sit there, they need to go out and continue to improve their team for what could be Drew Brees’ last season. Here are five free-agent star athletes that are still unsigned.
