Replacement

It seems hard to believe that the New Orleans Saints stretched out at the bottom of the first round to grab center/guard Cesar Ruiz just to have him sit on the bench. In all reality, they have already found Larry Warford’s replacement.

Ruiz was believed to be going to the Cincinnati Bengals with the first pick in the second round before New Orleans selected him. Sean Payton obviously saw signs of talent in him that he wanted right away.

The release of Larry Warford would be invisible because of Ruiz. He would seamlessly fit into the line and hopefully play at the same high caliber that Warford was playing at when he was selected to the Pro-Bowl.

Next. 3 Saints who could be cut because of the salary cap. dark

The New Orleans Saints need to (and already have) bite the bullet and either try and trade Warford or just simply release him. As one fan commented on a previous article, “there isn’t much market for overpaid players in the NFL.”
