CB, A.J. Terrell – Atlanta Falcons

After a mediocre season last year, the Atlanta Falcons found themselves with the No. 16 pick in the NFL Draft. Literally dead middle of the draft, the Falcons used their first-round pick to grab A.J. Terrell, a cornerback from Clemson University.

The National Champion runner-up Tigers had a fantastic season and Terrell was no exception to that. On Mel Kiper’s big board, Terrell was the No. 7 ranked cornerback, but in the draft, he was the  No. 3 cornerback selected behind Jeff Okudah and C.J. Henderson.

That must mean that the Falcons saw something in him that not many teams saw to select him over Noah Igbinoghene, Jeff Gladney, Jaylon Johnson, and Damon Arnette. With that said, he could become a force at the next level.

He will most likely lead the secondary of the Falcons along with safety Keanu Neal. Terrell could have the upside of Marshon Lattimore of the New Orleans Saints which would make him one of the most deadly cornerbacks in the draft, and he is coming to the NFC South.
