Number Four: Zack Baun, Gain

New Orleans Saints newly drafted linebacker has everything to gain in 2020.

Baun fell to the third round of the 2020 NFL Draft for who knows what reason and the Saints traded up to acquire his services. Baun, 23, had the second-most sacks in college football behind Chase Young in 2019.

The Saints’ biggest need in the 2020 NFL Draft was a linebacker who is skilled enough to be on the team for years to come as many of their high-profile LBs will hit the market in 2021. They may have found that guy in Wisconsin linebacker Zack Baun.

Baun will likely come in and start right away and take the starting spot from aging veteran Kiko Alonso. Baun had a great college career racking up 152 tackles, 30.5 tackles for a loss, 15 sacks, two interceptions, four passes defended, three forced fumbles, and one defensive touchdown.

Zack Baun has the physical traits and chip on his shoulder to be as good as he wants to be. He could be as good as the Defensive Rookie of the Year due to the playtime he’s expected to get right as soon as he lands in the Big Easy.
