There’s no denying the New Orleans Saints actively filled holes this offseason, but they’ll need more from a few stars players for a chance at a Super Bowl run.

The New Orleans Saints seem to be poised for yet another dominant year in the highly competitive NFC South, a division that somehow managed to get significantly better this offseason, and some players will benefit from the high level of competition while others suffer.

Every year, there is a list of guys on each NFL team who really had a breakout season and there’s also a list of guys who didn’t meet expectations. The New Orleans Saints in 2019 were no different.

For example, last year, Vonn Bell had an incredible season and seemed to be everywhere the ball was while Eli Apple struggled with nagging injuries and bogus penalties having a below-average season.

Bell was rewarded with a solid contract from the Cincinnati Bengals after failing to agree to terms with New Orleans. As for Apple, he’s still a free agent after his deal with the Las Vegas Raiders reportedly fell through.

While the overall goal is for the team to have success, individual success or failure can directly impact the morale of the team. That said, here are five players with the most to gain or lose in 2020.
