Number Six: Dante Pettis
Dante Pettis is a 6-foot-1 wide receiver who currently plays for the San Francisco 49ers.
Pettis has been held back a bit by both a luxurious wide receiver corps and injuries so far in his career. Despite his limited playing time, it’s hard to find a guy who can play more positions and match his speed.
Dante Pettis can literally do it all and has at the NFL level.
Pettis, a second-round pick by the 49ers in 2018, has logged 38 receptions, 576 receiving yards, a 15.2 yards per reception average, 26 first downs, and seven touchdowns in his NFL career thus far. Pettis has the ability to play multiple positions in the NFL.
Pettis had a mere 4.4% drop rate his rookie season, showing his soft hands. He has also run the ball, returned both kicks and punts, and has played special teams as well.
Dante Pettis brings a lot to the table as a wide receiver to bring depth to an organization.
Pettis would fit in well in New Orleans and Sean Payton would likely use him in a role nobody else thought he could be used in. The asking price for Dante Pettis won’t be high as they have a ton of talented wideouts on the roster already and are already looking to trade off a few of them.
