The New Orleans Saints took advantage of the free agency period and 2020 NFL Draft to address some needs, but they still have some concerns that remain.

Coming into the 2020 offseason, the New Orleans Saints had a few major needs ranging anywhere from quarterback to safety. Their need was arguably finding Drew Brees a quality second-string wide receiver.

The Saints used the offseason to shore up the quarterback position with the re-signing of Drew Brees and Taysom Hill, the signing of Jameis Winston, and the drafting of Tommy Stevens in the seventh round. Those were important transactions for the team.

They also added on to their loaded offensive line with the additions of Cesar Ruiz, Calvin Throckmorton, and Jordan Steckler. What’s even better is that they finally added a solid second-string receiver in Emmanuel Sanders.

Defensively, they added Malcolm Jenkins and brought in third-round pick Zack Baun to help in the middle of the field. However, there may be a few places New Orleans may look to help out on the defensive side of the ball.

Although the Saints upgraded several areas of need, there are still three major positions that need to be addressed sooner rather than later.
