CB, Patrick Robinson

Cap Hit: $3.450 million

Patrick Robinson has a decent salary for a backup cornerback. However, with the new signing of Deatrick Nichols, who only makes $765,000, Robinson could be taking a backseat even further at the cornerback position.

After the signing last year of Janoris Jenkins, Robinson went from the No. 3 cornerback to the No. 4, and now with Nichols, there is a good possibility that he moves from the No. 4 to the No. 5 cornerback on the team.

In terms of salary though, he is the No. 3 cornerback. For a No. 5 cornerback with that much cap hit, there is a good chance he will become expendable for his money. Look for Robinson to become another casualty of the Saints’ finances.

As we said before, the New Orleans Saints have always been in the business of juggling their finances. Now, it gets harder with the need to find money and no other options than trade or cut veteran players.
