Defensive End

This is a position that New Orleans Saints fans will look at and wonder how we could ask for help with the defensive end position when you have Cameron Jordan on one side and Marcus Davenport on the other side.

You’re 100% right.

However, after Davenport, the next best end that the Saints have is Trey Hendrickson. Now, he got some playing time last year when Davenport went down with any injury, but he didn’t perform up to par.

In those last three games of the year that he started, Hendrickson recorded 0.5 sacks, five tackles, and two hits on the QB. He played in 13 games and had a total of 4.5 sacks last year. However, they could still be benefitted by backing up both ends with talent.

Right now, according to ESPN, the backup for Jordan is Zach Baun, the rookie out of Wisconsin, then Noah Spence. The only thing is, Baun isn’t a defensive end, he’s a linebacker. Therefore, the Saints need at least one more end to round out this position with perfection.
